Logistics Project Manager

Position Summary

The Logistics Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, deliverables, budgets, and customer requirements are successfully achieved. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, suppliers, operations, and cross-functional teams, driving project execution while supporting logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, and new product introduction activities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining project visibility, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring successful project outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring milestones, deliverables, timelines, and dependencies are clearly defined and tracked.
  • Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from project award through production readiness and launch.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify project risks, monitor progress, and implement mitigation plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Establish project schedules, assign responsibilities, and drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports, presentations, and updates for customers, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation, technical drawings, records, and related project files within designated systems.

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review project requirements, specifications, drawings, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate information flow between stakeholders and ensure project updates are communicated effectively.
  • Lead and participate in customer and internal project meetings, documenting action items, decisions, and follow-up activities.
  • Ensure project processes, workflows, and documentation standards are consistently followed.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Customer Service teams to support project success.

Logistics, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop, maintain, and improve project tracking tools to support visibility, accountability, and execution.
  • Coordinate logistics-related activities to support project timelines, material flow, and customer commitments.
  • Analyze project performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and execution.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through process analysis, workflow optimization, and standardization efforts.
  • Utilize spreadsheets, dashboards, and databases to organize, track, and report project data.
  • Assist with automation and enhancement of project tracking and reporting processes.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project records and documentation.

Financial & Cost Analysis Support

  • Review supplier quotations and project-related pricing for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support project cost analysis, supplier evaluations, tooling investments, and budget tracking activities.
  • Prepare costing worksheets, project summaries, and customer quote packages for management review.
  • Monitor project-related expenditures and assist with financial reporting and cost control initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support strategic initiatives, special projects, and cross-functional business improvement efforts.
  • Contribute to operational excellence through process improvement and best-practice implementation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, or project management environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business applications.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • Experience working with international suppliers and global manufacturing partners.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP, logistics, or project management systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI), supply chain operations, manufacturing processes, and project execution.
  • Experience supporting project costing, supplier quotations, financial analysis, or capital investment evaluations.
  • Ability to translate complex project data into clear, actionable business insights.
